Khalilah Wilson Wilbourn was the Chair of our Board of Directors for two years, from 2023 until her passing in 2025. Born on December 11, 1978 Khalilah passed away at the untimely age of 46 from complications related to a stroke on November 11, 2025. She was also Executive Director Dr. Maya Cunningham's best friend and cousin. Khalilah Wilbourn spent countless hours with Maya Cunningham in prayer and strategy sessions for the work of Themba Arts and Culture of impacting the lives of young people throughout the country. She was a dedicated and loving friend and we will miss her deeply.
We honor her memory and the legacy of her life with the Khalilah Wilson Wilbourn Memorial Scholarship Fund. Khalilah Wilbourn was a bestselling author, speaker, and entrepreneur. As a thought leader, Khalilah has a passion for helping people by imparting wisdom and knowledge that she has learned in life. Khalilah received a Bachelor of Arts degree in business and marketing from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore. She was also a graduate of the New Jersey Institute of Technology Prudential's Young Entrepreneur Program. Mrs. Wilbourn was the co-founder of Our Rich Friends, LLC. She published several books, including the Love God book and ministry teaching series. |
