About The Khalilah Wilson Wilbourn Memorial Scholarship Fund.
This scholarship fund has been instituted to continually honor the life and legacy of Khalilah Wilson Wilbourn, a member of the board of directors for two years, from 2023 until her passing in 2025 of the Christian Cultural Arts Center, Inc. (also known as Themba Arts and Culture.) Born on December 11, 1978 Khalilah passed away at the untimely age of 46 from complications related to a stroke on November 11, 2025.
In dedication to her memory, and to honor her support of the success of the work of this ministry, and the countless hours of prayer that she devoted to the cause of the ministry and the children we serve, this scholarship fund will provide African American/Afro-Descendant young people who live in low-income, underserved neighborhoods in urban centers in North America with tuition and fees to receive all forms of arts training provided by the Christian Cultural Arts Center, which will include funding to attend Worship Arts Summer Away Camp Excursions. This fund will also be used to assist students who have matriculated through Christian Cultural Arts Center programs with college tuition and support for their first, second and third year of matriculation in a university program with the maintenance of a 3.0 or higher grade point average. A volunteer committee of no more than three members will designate annual or biannual awardees of this fund. Awards will be decided on a case-by-case basis and may require an application process as determined by the committee, the Executive Director and Board of Directors.
